About Follow Me Photography
Hello, I’m Vicky. A portrait and events photographer in Nottingham. I specialise in informal lifestyle portraits and family photoshoots in a location of your choice.
You can go anywhere and do anything you choose on your Follow Me photoshoot - you're a free spirit! I'll follow you around with my camera and capture your beautiful moments as they unfold. No formal posing, minimal direction from me - just be yourselves and have fun!
What happens on your photoshoot
We’ll meet at the designated meeting point at the venue you have chosen for your photoshoot. I’ll be the one wearing the yellow Follow Me Photography

We’ll start with a chat about what you’d like to get out of your session. You’re welcome to bring along any visual ideas on a smartphone, if you like.
Then you’re free to explore as you wish. For example, if we're shooting at a park, you could simply go for a walk, bring a picnic, play some games, run around…it’s entirely up to you! I’ll take candid portrait photos, as if I wasn’t with you at all. My camera has a telephoto lens so it’s completely un-intrusive. This makes for a relaxed and enjoyable experience, and lovely in-the-moment photos as a result.
What you'll get :
- 5 - 10 minute consultation
- 50 minute photoshoot
- An online gallery with at least 20 low resolution photos, so you can share them on your social media channels.

Which locations can I choose from?
I mainly take bookings for Wollaton Park, Woodthorpe Park and Highfields Lakeside. However if you have a special place or somewhere else in mind, I will usually be able to accommodate your request. I love variety and there are so many amazing outdoor spaces in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, we are spoilt for choice! Take a look at my locations page for inspiration and somewhere near you.
Can I bring my dog?
Of course! Dogs are part of the family, and the beauty of a Follow Me Photography photoshoot being out on location, in a public place, means your furry friend/s can join us. Just be sure to respect the dog rules of your chosen location and keep dogs under control at all times.
What should we wear?
This is entirely up to you and your personal preference. My only practical advice would be to wear shoes you'll feel comfortable walking around a park in. We don't have to do much walking, but to get a good variety of shots it's helpful to walk to different areas. Everything else can be as fancy or relaxed as you like. Oh, and warm things on cold days, especially for children.
Do you do gift vouchers?
Gift vouchers are available for any amount of your choice. A Follow Me Photography photoshoot is a lovely gift for friends and family. And if you know someone who is coming on a shoot with me, gift vouchers for digital files or framed prints from their personal gallery is a lovely idea too.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather is horrendous then it’ll be no fun for any of us, being windswept & soaking wet! I’ll be keeping an eagle eye on the forecast, and we’d have to make a call on things as the shoot approaches. I will always try to make the call the day before, where possible.
If the skies are a just a bit grey and it’s a just a bit drizzly, the shoot will likely still go ahead as planned.
If we have to cancel due to weather, you can choose to rebook another session or I’ll send you gift vouchers to the same value as your original booking, be redeemed at a later date.
